Job Description Summary
Receives assignment and keeps supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems. Attends assigned parking facilities and collects parking fees. Totals daily receipts and prepares reports of daily transactions. Forwards data to business office for processing. Monitors parking facilities to ensure the safety and security of parked vehicles; reports parking violations and abandoned vehicles. Records usage of parking facilities. May direct and/or escort patients, visitors, personnel and students to campus buildings and premises. Assists in the preparation of reports pertinent to security/parking activities. Maintains established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety and environmental control. Cares for and maintains departmental supplies and equipment. Attends in-service training and meetings as required.Entity

Job Description
Under the supervision of Lead Parking Attendant or Patient/Visitor Assistant Manager, employee is responsible for cashiering in one of the MUSC patient/visitor parking facilities daily during assigned shift and 1 weekend a month. Keeps all interactions positive by limiting customer complaints; displays a good spirit of service, cooperation and professionalism while providing quality service and exceeding customer expectations; prevents and resolves customer issues in a timely and effective manner to maintain customer confidence.
25% Responsible for cashiering in one of the MUSC patient/visitor parking facilities; keeps all interactions positive by limiting customer complaints; displays a good spirit of service, cooperation and professionalism while providing quality service and exceeding customer expectations; prevents and resolves customer issues in a timely and effective manner to maintain customer confidence.
25% Responsible for data entry on each exiting customer tickets.
20% Responsible for preparing a remittance advice form (shift report) at end of each shift. Reconcile shift change-fund money accurately 99.5% of the time.
15% Duties as a Parking Attendant/Cashier.
10% Responsible for maintaining work area and personal appearance. Maintains area clean and uncluttered 99.5% of the time.
5% Responsible for notifying supervisor of mechanical or operational problems.
MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent education.
MUSC Physical Requirements:
(Note: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: Continuous - 6-8 hours per shift; Frequent - 2-6 hours per shift; Infrequent - 0-2 hours per shift)
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time. (Continuous)
Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs, unassisted. (Infrequent)
Ability to lift, drag, pull persons to safety, weighing up to 300 lbs., assisted. (Infrequent)
Ability to hear and recognize various sounds within noisy background areas. (Continuous)
Ability to maintain 20/40 vision in both eyes, corrected. (Continuous)
Ability to climb stairs to the top floor of any building within the institution. (Infrequent)
Olfactory sense must be intact in order to smell unusual odors. (Continuous)
Ability to carry heavy objects, i.e. persons, a distance of 15 to 20 feet in emergency situations. (Infrequent)
Ability to engage in physical confrontations with suspected offenders. (Infrequent)
Ability to sit. (Infrequent)
Additional New Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Computer literacy.
Ability to work overtime as required.
