BetheUnitSecretaryyoualwayswantedtobe

·       Maintaincompleteandaccuratemedicalrecordsforpatientsusingappropriatelabelingsystem.

·       Accurately/efficientlytranscribemedicalordersanddistributestootherdisciplinesasneeded.

·       Actasahelpfulresourceforpatients,families,physicians,andvisitorsatthenursingstation.

·       Coordinateunitoperationstooptimizethedeliveryofsafepatientcare.

·       Scheduletests,appointmentsandtransportationasneededinatimelymanner.

·       Serveasaliaisonforinquiries,directingthemtotheappropriatepersonforresolution.

Qualifications

·       CPRcertificationpreferred.

·       Oneyearofinpatientunitsecretaryexperiencepreferred.

·       Active enrollment in a healthcare program (such as nursing), familiarity with medical terminology,andexperienceinreadingandtranscribingmedicalordersarepreferred.
