Unit: In our 14-bed Emergency Department, we care for adult and pediatric patients with 24/7 emergency medical conditions. Our patients are unique because we never know what will come through our door.
Schedule: PRN flexible shifts but primarily 9:00 pm to 3:00 am weekends
What you will do:
+ Greeting Patients: Welcoming patients and visitors to the department.
+ Managing Patient Records: Maintaining, filing, and organizing patient records.
+ Scheduling: Coordinating appointments and procedures with healthcare providers.
+ Communication: Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries from patients, family members, or staff.
+ Administrative Tasks: Handling billing, accepting payments, and managing office supplies.
+ Coordination: Working with other departments to ensure smooth patient care services.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Previous experience in a healthcare setting
+ Knowledge of medical terminology
+ Proficiency in MS Office and EPIC patient management software
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.
+ Flexible schedule availability
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer telephones in appropriate manner.
• Input data into computer.
• Scans medical record into EPIC system
• Schedule appointments, physician/consults, coordinates transfers and EMS transports
