Job Summary:
The Unit Manager RN is responsible for managing the daily operations of a nursing unit within a healthcare facility. They oversee the nursing staff, ensure patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Experience Preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the nursing staff on the unit
Ensure patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner
Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the unit
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating nursing staff
Monitor and manage the unit budget
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Provide direct patient care as needed
Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Michigan
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement initiatives
