Unit Coordinator- Operating Room; 40 hours/week, M-F 8-430 - Emerson Hospital

Job Summary

Reporting to the Surgical Services Operations Supervisor, with line reporting responsibility to the Nurse Manager, responsible for daily schedule communication, coordination of all perioperative areas, entering of all surgical charges, and maintaining surgical statistics, reporting them appropriately as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

-High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

-Associates Degree in business or a healthcare related field preferred.

-Completion of a medical terminology course strongly preferred.

Experience

-Previous experience as a unit coordinator, scheduler, or administrative capacity in a healthcare environment required with demonstrated computer skills.

Licensure and/or Certification

-None

Required Skills

-Computer skills required.

-Previous Meditech experience strongly preferred.

-Medical terminology preferred.

-Strong organizational skills.

-Excellent customer service skills.

-Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

-Ability to maintain confidential information.
