Position Summary
Exercises independent discretion in handling uninsured motorist (UM) and/or underinsured motorist (UIM) claims.
- This is a remote, work from home position with the successful candidate residing within the state of Pennsylvania.
- The ideal candidate will have UM/UIM, complex liability, and/or litigation claim handling experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts investigations, evaluates and makes recommendations regarding coverage and liability.
- Sets and maintains appropriate reserves.
- Handles litigated files. Attend depositions, arbitrations, mediations, court proceedings and trials.
- Reviews and analyzes medical records to evaluate UM/UIM bodily injury claims to negotiate settlements.
- Trains and mentors.
- Completes required training.
- Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
Additional Experience
- Five years' casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.
- Travel may be required.
Designations and/or Licenses
- Completion of the Associate in Claims (AIC) program or Senior Claim's Law Associate (SCLA) preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
