In this pivotal role, you’ll bring your deep industry expertise and strategic insight to guide the development of innovative automation solutions, bridging the gap between traditional underwriting and modern technology.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years Underwriting Operations and domain experience.
- Extensive experience in underwriting processes, including vendor and validation tools, with a proven track record of implementing or evaluating underwriting technologies.
- Serve as the in-house expert on mortgage underwriting, spanning conventional, FHA, and diverse loan types, while leveraging experience across multiple Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
- Define and prioritize structured underwriting workflows, test cases, and enhancements that align with automation goals.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to identify underwriting requirements, translate policies into system architecture, and influence the development roadmap.
- Ability to break down complex processes, identify gaps, and prioritize high-impact solutions.
- Experience leading to underwriting technology transformations, including system design, process improvement, and training development.
