About the Role:

We are partnering with our client to find an experienced Regional Underwriting Manager specializing in Environmental Lines. Based in Los Angeles, this hybrid role offers the chance to lead a team, drive regional growth, and develop underwriting strategies for a diverse portfolio of environmental risks. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in environmental liability and a passion for delivering tailored solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of underwriters, fostering professional development and maintaining a high-performance culture.
• Portfolio Oversight: Oversee the underwriting of new and renewal business, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate environmental risks and design customized insurance solutions for clients across various industries.
• Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, driving engagement and delivering exceptional service.
• Market Expertise: Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to inform underwriting decisions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with claims, actuarial, and product development teams to enhance offerings and improve overall results.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 5+ years of underwriting experience in environmental lines, with a proven track record of managing profitable portfolios.
• Leadership: Previous experience managing or mentoring underwriting teams is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency with underwriting tools and systems.
• Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate broker relationships.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
