Role Overview:
The Underwriting Associate I is an entry-level position focused on supporting placement operations by collecting, organizing, and validating employee benefits information. This role works closely with Underwriting Associates II’s and Underwriting Consultants (UCs) to ensure the accurate preparation and digitization of benefits data, contributing to the overall efficiency of the placement process. Additionally, the role involves quality assurance (QA) work, providing a critical layer of accuracy under minimal supervision. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a foundational understanding of underwriting and insurance concepts while developing skills in data accuracy, organization, and basic benefits analysis.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $16.00- $17.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

- Maintain detailed records of communications and follow-up activities.
Quality Assurance (QA) (70%):
- Interpret and analyze information from insurance policies and related documents, including complex terms and conditions.
- Normalize and standardize policy content to ensure consistency and clarity across data.
- Perform QA reviews on data and documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.
- Identify and rectify errors in data submissions, ensuring the accuracy of the final product.
Collaborative Support (10%):
- Work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve data discrepancies and ensure clear communication.
