UNDERWRITER ASSISTANT
ARC Group seeks an Underwriting Assistant to work onsite for our direct client in their Ft. Lauderdale, FL offices. The Underwriting Assistant supports management in the overall binding process of both new and renewal business and expedites the underwriting process by providing administrative and clerical support to the underwriters.Recent college grads or those close to finish are highly welcome to apply!

Underwriting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Completing pre-reviews of underwriting submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
- Evaluating referrals based on basic underwriting guidelines and declining or recommending declination of file based on review.
- Following up on requests for information and entering or amending quotes as requested by underwriters.
- Reviewing renewal files to determine if additional information is required. Rating of the account and set up the fleet analysis tool for fleet renewals.
- Assist Underwriter in a variety of underwriting related tasks including but not limited to filing, contact insureds, new / renewal submissions preparation, document review, document preparation, etc.
- Service policy: review and accurately process a variety of changes / endorsement requests (drivers, vehicles, additional interests, contact information, etc.)
- Produce certificates of coverage
- Issue a variety of policy related documents per insured's request
- Issue / mail / file Notices of Cancellation
- Monthly review / upload of information required to complete monthly MVR monitoring
- Monthly MVR review of monitored MVRs with activity accompanied by pertinent exclusions / communication to insureds when necessary
- Follow up on in-vehicle camera system installation until confirmation is obtained
- Loss control (visit request, report follow up, proper documentation / filing)
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks upon request
- Translating when necessary for company related functions
- Assist management as needed with miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, document preparation, etc.
Underwriting Assistant Requirements:
- Bachelor degree strongly preferred, but will consider someone with an Associates who is actively pursuing a Bachelor degree
- Someone with customer service skills or having service the public will be given preference
- Must be able to do data entry and be computer savvy with MS Office
- Must have good communication skills, written and oral
- Must be willing to learn, be driven to excel at tasks, and works well with others (no egos allowed)
