Summary:
Under limited supervision, analyze all forms of credit information and independently prepare a complete documented credit package for all types of loan requests for the Credit Services Department to include both commercial and agricultural loans.

- Actively collaborate with Relationship Specialist, Relationship Managers, Credit Operations and CCO to finalize credit recommendations. Delegated authority - up to $750,000.
- Deliver on organization metrics and KPIs to ensure timely and quality underwriting results.
1. Days assigned to when underwriting is completed;
2. Quality of work measured by the number of findings uncovered by loan review or regulators; and
3. Quality of work measured by number of risk rating changes by loan review or regulators.
- Analyze financial information for new loan requests, renewals and modifications up to established exposure limits.
- Accurately complete historical trends, pro-forma projections, debt repayment schedules, consolidations, and stress testing with minimal supervision.
- Reviews and makes applicable recommendations in loan structure to ensure that acceptable credit standards are maintained and that all loans conform to credit policy while fully mitigating exceptions to policy.
- Makes recommendations regarding risk rating of commercial and agricultural accounts and assesses collateral quality and values. Establishes risk rating within their delegated authority.
- Independently prepare loan narratives on larger and more complex transactions which provide an adequate summary of the financial analysis, addressing the applicable character, capacity, collateral, capital and conditions of the credit, highlighting credit strengths and weaknesses that supports the credit recommendation.
- Attend the Bank's Loan Committee when appropriate.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Bank policies and pertinent lending regulations.
- Independently take credit action within their designated lending authority.
- Maintain and grow knowledge of industry trends and risks within the marketplace which may have a direct or indirect impact on the Commercial and Agricultural Lending portfolio.
- Assist UW III/CSUM/CSO in monitoring accounts for compliance to loan covenants and other on-going conditions of the loan approval. Verifies assets and debts when necessary by using technology and resources available. Assist in monitoring of borrowing bases with UW III/CSUM/CSO.
- Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field from an accredited college or university required.
- 3-5 years formal credit analysis and/or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience across multiple lines of business, particularly commercial and/or agricultural lending is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, financial analysis methods and techniques, and spreadsheet applications.
- Thorough knowledge of credit concepts and principles, loan documentation, bank services and operations.
- Strong ability to analyze credits and possess detailed knowledge of lending structure and cash flow analysis.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Competencies:

- Excellent presentation and sales skills are critical.
Supervisory Requirements:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines.
