The Underground Mining Supervisor role is based in McCook, IL and reports to the Plant Manager.

The Underground Mining Supervisor role is based in McCook, IL and reports to the Plant Manager.
- Supervise and direct the production employees on the assigned operating shift including coaching, counseling, and training.
- Ability to supervise the operation of the plant from the central control room through plant control systems as well as providing trouble-shooting for production, process control, equipment, and qualify problems.
- Work directly with maintenance and other departments on a daily basis to coordinate and manage the needs of the business.
- Supervise daily shift changeover meetings.
- Responsible for on-line process, quality and equipment failure analysis, and the corresponding corrective action.
- Ensure timely call-out of maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate and implement small projects.
- Prepare operating shift logs.
- Participate in the planning and execution of the annual shutdown.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- High School diploma
- Mechanical experience with process equipment
- Proficient withMicrosoft Office
- Ability to make timely and critical decisions – able to work under conditions of stress and deal with a multitude of tasks simultaneously
- Motivation, ability, and willingnessto work rotating shifts, holidays, andovertime as needed to ensure leadership coverage and support for the operation
- Able to supervise and troubleshoot all different kinds of technical, operational, quality, and environmental problems
- Working knowledge and technical understanding of cement manufacturing process and its equipment, process control systems, and lab systems
- 2-5 yearsor more aggregate plantoperating experience; Underground Mining
- College education or post high school technical training
- SAP preferred
Work Environment
- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
