Expected Schedule: 4 Days Per Week
- Shift 1: Saturday and Sunday 7a-7p (24) & Monday and Tuesday 8a-430p (16)
- Shift 2: Saturday and Sunday 7a-7p (24) & Thursday and Friday 8a-430p (16)
- Shift 3: Saturday and Sunday 7p-7a (24) & TBD 8a-430p (16)
- Shift 4: Monday - Friday 2p-1030p
Requirements:
- Resume
- ARDMS (AB) or (OBGYN) or ARRT (S)
- BLS (Must be through American Heart Association)
- 24 Months experience in the preceding 48 Months
- Current Copy of CEUs
Job Description:
- Must adhere to Nuclear Regulatory Policies and procedures of the Radiology Service which are consistent with ACR guidelines. This will include but not limited to all necessary data required to maintain the Radiology Quality Improvement Program. All ROS guidelines shall be made available by the Supervisor of the modality section, Chief Technologist, Chief of Radiology Service or their assigned designee.
- Shall prepare imaging and ancillary equipment for patient use. This involves recording a series of measurements, including checks of the radiation field / beam, to ensure basic specifications are met on a daily basis.
- Shall perform and maintain appropriate exams and they will be explained to patients securing the confidence & cooperation of the patients and explain the exam while following ALARA principles.
- Will operate imaging radiation equipment.
- Shall position patients for US scanning and acquire specific data sets of images needed and will set-up and operate accessory equipment when needed.
- As required, may have to provide support, assistance or coverage for absence of employees by changing TOD with sufficient notification.
- Is responsible for ensuring that supplies, materials, catheters or other requirements are utilized appropriately during operations.
- Must be capable of producing above satisfactory radiographs and / or scans incorporating the information required for the PACS unit for dictation by a Radiologist.
- Ensure departmental and/or hospital policies are followed.
- Perform timeout procedure and positively identify each patient before providing treatment.
- Maintain records of patients contrasted studies, scans performed, and technical factors used where applicable.
- Operate Radiologic units (CT, X-Ray) and Sonography Scan Units (US) take high quality radiographs and scans to accurately localize anatomy as required.
- Accomplish post acquisitions regarding images / filming / scans, localizing topographical
- Enter daily notes into patients’ medical records using Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) within local guidelines (within 24 hours of treatment) when needed.
- Perform related clerical duties. Report any out of the ordinary incidents or problems that are encountered to Radiology Chief Technologist and the Ultrasound Supervisor.
