Ultrasound Tech (RVT) Per Diem Rotate - John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital

JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK�s cross streets is named in his honor. Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician.
Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
May be multi-credentialed in the area of sonography.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Assists with amnio procedure biopsies
• Processes and files films as needed

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography
Preferred: Associates degree

Experience

Preferred: 1-3 years

Certifications

Required: Must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT(S) within 24 months of graduation (12 months of hire). BLS certified. RVT Certification

Pay Range: $38.74 - $52.07
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.
