Ultrasound Tech II 11/12 - OSF HealthCare

$18,000 Sign on Bonus

Expected pay for this position is $37.99 - $49.72/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intakes via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images are required. Will be scheduled and required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

- High School Diploma/ GED

Experience:

- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.

Licensure/ Certification:

- Registered as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered as a Vascular Technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI).

- One specific certification required

(Abdomen – AB, Breast – BR, Fetal Echocardiography – FE, Obstetrics and Gynecology – OB/GYN, or Registered Vascular Technologist – RVT) to be determined by OSF Entity need.

- Based on specific OSF entity requirements must obtain an additional certification within 1 year.

- Specific certification required is based on OSF entity need and must come from either ARDMS, CCI, NTQR, or the Fetal Medicine Foundation.

Other skills/ knowledge:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
