Job Description:

• Oversee daily operations of the ultrasound department, ensuring adherence to all clinical, quality, and safety standards.
• Supervise and mentor ultrasound technologists, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of care.
• Coordinate and manage department schedules, staffing, and workflow to ensure efficient and effective patient service.
• Ensure compliance with ACR and IAC accreditation standards, including quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
• Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and protocols in collaboration with senior management.
• Perform and assist with complex ultrasound imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
• Participate in budgeting, inventory management, and procurement for the ultrasound department.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification required.
• Advanced certifications in specialties such as OB/GYN, Abdomen, or Vascular are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical ultrasound experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Familiarity with ACR and IAC accreditation processes and standards.
• Strong technical skills in ultrasound imaging and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
