UI Developer
Our Boston-based client is looking to hire a UI Developer with a mix of multi-tier development, business analysis, and quantitative skills. This individual will work closely with Portfolio Managers as part of a team of quantitative developers to build user interfaces using Vue JS for quantitative data analysis and. This role will develop and support user interfaces to visualize all aspects of risk analytics, portfolio optimization, trade execution and performance measurement. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving any systems-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain responsive and interactive user interfaces with widgets comprising of grids, charts, and forms
- Assist with the development and customization of JavaScript and CSS libraries
- Support the development of advanced reporting and new functions within the applications
- Develop wireframes and prototypes as proof-of-concepts for functionality
- Interact with business users to determine needs of modifications or enhancements
- Provide assessment of technical impact of enhancement requests
- Maintain high standard of product quality by conducting quality assurance reviews of service delivery, code quality, and requirements capture
- Implement design and coding best practices into the implementation of the user interface development
- Provide advanced application support, including debugging
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field required
- 5+ years of experience in JavaScript frameworks with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in Vue JS
- Experience with UI Widgets Frameworks (jQWidgets, Kendo UI, etc.)
- Knowledge of the SDLC phases and associated methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, scrum, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of object-orientated programing like Java, C#, .NET, and SQL
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, problem-solving leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret requirements into functional code
- Thorough understanding of version control, software configuration and release management practices
