About the role
Closing out month end procedures including posting of all monthly transactions including accruals, fixed assets, prepayments, and completion of all monthly reconciliations
Creating management reports - including reports on resource allocation, resource costs, activity costs
Responsibility for processing payroll runs, whilst partnering with department heads in validating data for processing
Responsibility for review and maintenance of strict internal controls within the finance department and ensure that appropriate policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls are implemented and maintained. Strive for continuous improvement in this area
Responsible for statutory compliance with regards to audits and financial statements and other statistical reporting
Perform variance analysis on certain general ledger accounts and investigate anomalies
Perform certain internal control activity at month end as appropriate, including revenue cut-off testing
Support the operations team on day-to-day operations, costing variances and project planning, as required
Frequent engagement with senior leaders regarding financial reviews
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and improving any inefficiencies in processes
Supervision of relevant team members
You may be required to travel from time to time in this role

Qualifications And Skills Required
You will need to be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years' post qualified experience working in commercial as well as larger corporate environments
Experience of working in a multi-national environment
Excellent IT skills, with MS Excel
Experience with SAGE 100 advantageous
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative
