REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in substance abuse or behavioral health preferred but not required

REQUIRED EDUCATION: State-registered Practical Nursing license/Registered Nurse required

REQUIRED LICENSE: LPN or RN required

CPR required

PREREQUISITE SKILLS:

• Demonstrated requisite education and work experience consistent with and necessary to carry out the Mission and leadership philosophy of Turning Point.
• Must possess sound clinical skills, effective interpersonal skills, technical and computer skills, and excellent written communication skills.

REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.

• Asses the physiological and behavioral health status of the patient
• Complete medical screening to see if the client/patient is appropriate for admission
• Complete CIWA/COWS assessments as ordered per NP
• Administer detox medications as ordered and assess effectiveness
• Communicate with other staff about patients' status both mentally and physically
• Assist the client/patient in the understanding of the disease of addiction and the importance of treatment and continued support
• Supervisory role

Job Type: Full-time
