This role will require travel 60% of the year to Louisiana, California, Pennsylvania and Houston. The schedule will be a 40 hour work week Monday-Friday, outside of outages when you travel.
Must live local to one of their locations in Houston TX, Allentown PA, Gonzales LA, Long Beach CA or Edmonton Canada since you'll be in office when you are not traveling.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with planned outages in the refinery or chemical industry with heavy industrial experience. You should be experienced in leading the outage safety program, budget control, outage schedule and performance, performance metrics for safety, quality, schedule, and cost control, cost forecasting, oversee close-out process and material commitments.

We are currently seeking a Turnaround Manager for our Manufacturing division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing outages, and driving performance improvement to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive turnaround strategies to improve operational performance, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
2. Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations during periods of change or crisis, including outage management.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
4. Conduct regular reviews of operational performance, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and customers.
6. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
7. Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of turnaround initiatives, including any challenges or issues that arise.
8. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the manufacturing team.
Qualifications:
1. Technical or Business degree desired but not required in lieu of experience.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within a heavy industrial company in a similar role.
3. Proven track record in managing outages and driving performance improvement.
4. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
7. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing operational efficiency.
8. Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices.
9. Ability to travel as needed to support manufacturing operations.
