Description:
We are looking for a safety-minded self-starter that is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. We perform commercial and residential construction and maintenance on construction developments. This can range from a full remodel to touch-up work.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the residential and commercial construction industry and the ability to provide some of their own tools. The candidate should also be familiar with construction industry safety standards to ensure project security and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install doors, windows, trim, molding, etc.
- Install drywall to fill small holes and cover normal wear and scrape popcorn ceilings.
- Repair and replace power switches, fuses, and wall sockets.
- Install and repair ceiling lights and fans and adjust garage doors.
- Install and repair faucets, toilets, hot water tanks, garbage disposals, and dishwashers.
- Perform exterior maintenance by picking up trash, maintaining flower beds, removing fallen leaves, trimming trees, watering lawns, and repairing siding and gutter downspouts.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory in company storage and provided vehicles.
- Communicate with supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property.
- Depending on the nature of work performed, the incumbent may be required to wear personal protective equipment provided by the company.
- Keep accurate time and detailed records of work performed at each location through the use of a service-tracking application (Service Fusion) installed on a mobile device.
- Communicate effectively with management, tenants, and other Turn Team Members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A valid driver’s license which will allow the legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A valid driver’s license and corporate-insurable driving record
- Basic handyperson skills preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in construction preferred
- This position will require the following on a daily basis:
- Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate, and otherwise use small to large trades tools and equipment
- Grasp, lift, carry, and set down heavy objects (50-80 lbs.)
- Grasp, turn, twist, pull, push, lift, and otherwise move equipment, controls, parts, etc.
- Visually assess maintenance, construction, and repair needs
