Position Overview:

As a Trust and Estate Administration Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in the administration of trusts and estates. You will work closely with clients, attorneys, and other team members to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of trust and estate matters.

Responsibilities:

Trust and Estate Administration: Assist attorneys in the administration of trusts and estates, including the preparation and filing of necessary documents and forms.
Client Interaction: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress, gather information, and answer questions.
Document Drafting: Prepare legal documents such as petitions, inventories, accountings, and notices.
Research: Conduct legal research on trust and estate laws and regulations to provide attorneys with up-to-date information.
File Management: Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all necessary documents are accurately filed and accessible.
Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts and government agencies.
Asset Management: Assist in the identification, valuation, and distribution of assets within trusts and estates.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to trusts and estates.
Estate Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of estate tax returns and coordinate with tax professionals when necessary.
Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks to support attorneys and ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal in trust and estate administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws and regulations.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
Paralegal certification is a plus.
