Job Details
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive estate planning, estate administration, and related services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and charitable organizations.
This role offers an opportunity to work with a team of highly credentialed attorneys in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sophisticated estate plans tailored to clients' individual needs
- Draft complex legal documents including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and various types of specialized trusts
- Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies and asset protection
- Assist with estate and trust administration, including probate matters
- Represent fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust-related issues
- Provide counsel on charitable giving techniques and the formation of charitable organizations
- Handle international estate planning for clients from South America, the Caribbean, and Europe
- Participate in estate and trust litigation when necessary
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Florida Bar
- 5-15 years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and trust administration
- Florida Bar Board Certification in Wills, Trusts, and Estates is highly desirable
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus
- Strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
