Truck Shop Mechanic at Amick Farms Llc

Position Overview:
Amick Farms in Delmar, Delaware, is seeking a motivated and reliable Truck Shop Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for performing general mechanical repairs and maintenance on trucks used in our operations. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical skills, including experience with hydraulics, and be comfortable with the physical demands of the job, such as bending, squatting, and twisting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and other equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems to determine the best course of action.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Be attentive to detail and maintain a high standard of work quality throughout the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
• Basic mechanical knowledge, including experience working with hydraulics.
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work long hours, including some weekends, as needed.
• CDL certification is preferred but not required.
