Truck Sales Representative

GTR is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Sales Representative at our Collinsville, IL location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Heavy Duty Truck's by identifying and developing a customer base within previously structured demographic territories
- Maintain the monthly sales objectives set by management team
- Ensure all equipment is prepared for sale and meets the established condition parameters
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Identify and resolve client concerns
- Assist in the transportation of equipment from one branch to another as required
- Present and sell company products to current and potential clients
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts as needed
- Develop and maintain sales materials and stay up-to-date on current product knowledge
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales and follow-up activities
- Other reasonably related duties as assigned
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to be pro-active and a self-starter; someone who possesses the ability to work independently
- Technical knowledge of truck specifications is beneficial
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly computer literate
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and move a company/strategy forward to successful outcome
- A commitment to great customer service
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience preferred but not required
- At least 1 year sales experience with heavy equipment is beneficial but not required
- Valid Drivers License with clean driving record; CDL preferred or the ability to obtain CDL
