The current vacancy is located in Harmans Maryland.
Minimum Qualification
Education: Must be 18 years of age. Possession of high school diploma or equivalency (GED) certificate recognized by the State of Maryland.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience in bus/ trucks/ heavy trucks/vehicles/heavy vehicles and/or construction equipment; tractor trailers or passenger buses and their components and systems, or similar work on equipment in a related field.
Substitution Information
1. Completion of a four-year vocational or technical high school course of instruction in mechanics maintenance or a related field, formal technical training or on-the -job training in an approved apprenticeship program may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience

Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Dexterous and energetic: He/she should be skilled at using complex and hand tools. In addition, he/she must be energetic and have the stamina to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and squat while carrying out his/her job.
Innovative and ability to learn fast:
Diagnose, Repair and Maintain any engine, electrical, and hydraulic issues on vehicles
Knowledge and Experience of PTO, After Treatment Regeneration and Electrical Diagnostic issues
Ability to replace Engines and Transmissions in variety of light and heavy-duty vehicles.
Good Diagnostic Abilities
Perform Regular Services on all fleet vehicles
A Certified
Must have valid driver’s license (CDL Preferred)
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to obtain a DOT card
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens
Ability to lift at least 60 lbs.
Must be able and willing to work outside
Must provide your own tools
Ability to work Monday through Friday; 10:00am-7:00pm ( Negotiable)
Must be able to work Overtime when necessary
Saturday work on a rotation schedule as well as every once in awhile
Job Responsibilities
Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established
procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air
systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign
repairs.
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with
repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company / OSHA Standards and
performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Personal Fleet Maintenance of Heavy Duty and Light duty vehicles
Misc. Tasks around lot and elsewhere that is needed
SB Engine
Diagnose and detect mechanical faults in cars manually or by the use of computer diagnostic programs
Examine vehicle parts to ensure that they are working perfectly
Maintain and repair vehicles for customers
Replaced damaged or worn-out Truck and Bus parts
Ensure safety of vehicles brought in for repair
Test drive each vehicle after repair.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Other tasks as assigned.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Environmental Condition:
The employee may travel and work outdoors at various locations throughout the MBG service area, in all types of weather conditions. Employee may be exposed to a variety of hazards including, but not limited to, toxic materials and fumes, asbestos, flammable, or combustible agents; any of which may require the use of personal safety equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, protective eyewear/footwear, and respirators. Applicant must be able to perform the physical aspects required in a heavy maintenance shop. Environment including climbing, bending, crouching, stretching, and lifting objects weighing at least 60 lbs.
