Job Details
Responsibilities
- Manage cases from inception to resolution and represent clients in court.
- Assess potential cases for strength and viability and develop case theories.
- Analyze complex information.
- Negotiate favorable settlements.
- Draft motions, conduct depositions and document review, and perform legal research as necessary.
- Liaise with clients and colleagues to accomplish company goals and satisfy client requests.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school .
- Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.
- 3-5 years of prior civil litigation experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a high volume of cases.
- Detail-oriented and able to analyze, interpret and apply legal precedent.
- Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures is a plus.
- Experience handling medical malpractice and/or insurance defense matters is a plus.
