LVN: $34.50-$42 per hour RN: $42-47 per hour

Job Summary 

Golden San Andreas Care Center is seeking a Treatment/Wound Care Nurse (RN/LVN)to beresponsible for managing wound care among residents and other duties assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Assesses and treats residents' wound care needs
• Supervises nursing care to residents
• Complies with state and Federal Regulations
• Works Collaboratively with members of the healthcare team
• Maintains standards of professional nursing practice. 
• Provides back-up to Director of Nursing when needed.
• Reviews assignments with Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences, and communicates them appropriately to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency procedures.
• Receives and executes written and verbal orders from the physician or designated agent, as permitted by state regulations.

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:

• Must possess a current LVN or RN license in good standing.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in as a treatment/wound care nurse in a long-term care facility.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Wound Care Certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
