As the Treatment Plant Superintendent, you will lead a multi-craft maintenance team that includes electronic technicians, plant mechanics, electricians, crew supervisors, and crew members. Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations using the City’s work order management system and training resources, ensuring adherence to City, State, and Federal water quality and safety standards.
- Project Management: Plan and execute maintenance projects of varying scales and work with engineers to identify and prioritize capital projects for infrastructure improvement.
- Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between contractors, city engineers, and maintenance staff, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, large rotating equipment, plant process equipment, and municipal water systems to ensure operational excellence.
- Safety Leadership: Implement and monitor safety programs tailored to water/wastewater utility operations.
- System Optimization: Manage scheduling and work orders through computer applications, ensuring efficient use of resources.Strong written, electronic, and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact positively with the public. Professionals, and City departments; Proven experience with preventative; maintenance programs, SCADA systems, and safety program requirements. Practical knowledge of water transmission and distribution systems with multiple pressure zones, and expertise in the operation and maintenance of large rotating equipment and plant process equipment, and Proficiency in using computer applications for scheduling and work order management.
