Job Summary
Assists members of the Corporate Treasury Team by managing the trade settlement process, sub-accounting system, and collateral pledging process while also supporting with various other tasks pertaining to job duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Manages operational activities of the securities sub-accounting system for security investments and liabilities. Performs all applicable transactions and process in the sub-accounting system accurately and timely.
* Ensures the security safekeeping custodian is properly recorded for investments. Accurately records collateral that has been pledged for various business purposes. Processes the sub-accounting system daily. Perform the process for pricing security holdings monthly.
* Manages the delivery and payment process to ensure proper settlement of both security investments. Interfaces with various counterparties to resolve disputes and settlement issues in a timely manner. Manages custodian relationships and work to resolve reconcilement discrepancies. Maintains counterparty settlement instructions.
* Performs the process for pricing security holdings monthly. Performs the mortgage securities factoring process monthly. Processes and distributes various accounting reports and data extracts monthly. Processes and distributes various tax reports quarterly. Interfaces with the sub-accounting system vender to implement upgrades and system fixes, as needed.
* Efficiently manages securities collateral pledging activities: Pledges collateral for secured borrowings, such as repurchase agreements, and for state and municipal bank deposit clients based on specific collateral requirements for each, including state administered programs. Manages relationships with state collateral administrative authorities. Provides required ongoing collateral confirmations and reporting.
* Effectively interacts with Corporate Treasury team and other various lines of business across the organization to ensure proper execution of required tasks pertaining to collateral management.
* Ensures strong controls exists for the settlement processes, investment securities sub-accounting system activities, and the collateral pledging process, including providing suitable training to back-ups.
* Performs other operational related duties in support of Treasury management activities, including compiling securities, wholesale liabilities, and hedging information for monthly ALCO reporting purposes.
* Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
* Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience:
Four years of investment operations and finance/general accounting experience in the financial services industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Solid knowledge and understanding of various asset sectors and their data and settlement requirements, specifically fixed income.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to multitask and willingness to be a team player and take on new tasks as needed.
* Dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customer relationships.
* Working knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and investment accounting systems, preferably TPG software.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and vendors at various levels.
