Treasury Management Sales Officer
This position is responsible for developing new business and enhancing relationships by meeting the product and service needs of clients and prospects. This advice-giving sales process includes analyzing cash flow and operations, structuring client-specific treasury management solutions, and formulating sales and presentation strategies to achieve goals and increased fee income. When appropriate, assists in business compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, and Bank policies and procedures.
This is an onside position in a beautiful port city on the Gulf Coast of Texas. The bank will cover relocation expenses.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES and JOB DUTIES
- Communicates client specific marketing strategies for assigned area. Maintains an effective, active and volume driven calling effort to develop new business with existing and prospective clients.
- Under general supervision, responsible for providing a high quality of client service while performing a wide variety of services such as assisting clients with questions, changes, or concerns regarding Cash Management products, Online and Mobile Banking, Remote Deposit Services or existing accounts.
- Advises client/prospect on product selection and account structures. Proactively cross-sells and refers as appropriate all Bank products and services.
- Follows-up with clients and prospects to close sales. Obtains fully executed contracts and documentation and directs implementation with the appropriate Service areas.
- Reviews account and product activity of existing customers to identify additional opportunities.
- Assures compliance with all applicable State and Federal banking regulations, bank policies and procedures including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program and Information Systems Security Policies
- Represents the Bank to clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing requests and transactions.
- Resolves a variety of client complaints and inquiries; maintains contact with clients through telephone or written communication, as required.
- Regularly drives to offsite locations for business development calls and client meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) or similar software.
- Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software including cash management and electronic banking systems.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to interact effectively with management, staff and clients at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task between different stages of the sales process (presentation, approval, set-up, install and training, etc.).
- A thorough knowledge of Bank products and services.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task and maintain well-organized electronic files.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance from a four-year college is preferred
- Five years banking experience and/or training, with a minimum of two years of treasury management or banking sales experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Work experience must demonstrate progressive levels of responsibility in a banking environment.
