The Treasury Analyst Position
Sunnova Energy is searching for a Treasury Analyst to execute treasury strategy which establishes and drives efficient and comprehensive results for accurate cash positions, forecasts, comprehensive analysis on and debt or borrowing needs. This position develops, monitors, and recommends banking and investment strategies based on appropriate risks and opportunities, and will drive best practices through inter-company, bank strategies and treasury solutions.
Treasury Analyst Responsibilities
·Cash Management
oMonitors and reports all bank accounts - roughly 400+ accounts spread over 10 banking relationships; provides a comprehensive daily firmwide cash position
oManages accounts to ensure all funding requirements, such as dealer and operating payments, are timely made
oManages cash position spreadsheet, reporting actuals and developing forecasts
oStays current on new tools and technologies to improve efficiency of Treasury Operations
oHas a strong understanding of bank account services and maintenance – includes but not limited to familiarity with disbursement methods (ACH vs wire), opening/closing accounts, account record keeping.
oHas experience with bank portal administration.
oBank account internal and external audit requests as needed.
·Transaction Processing
oEvaluates and initiates cash transfers in banking portals; accurately and timely processes a high volume of monthly transactions
oEnsures timely execution of transfers and properly structured through a complex legal entity chain, consistent with accounting and legal considerations
·Bank Account & Payment Processing Setup
For all firmwide needs, and particularly to support financing, tax equity and securitization requirements, timely establish:
oNew bank account setup; includes providing all Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, and determining and implementing all appropriate banking services, including ZBA, Disbursement Methods, Fraud Protections, Account Control Agreements.
oReviews and resolves payment or deposit issues, such as stop payments, wire returns, remote deposit, cashier checks
oEstablishes new merchant vendor relationships, including KYC
·Corporate Insurance Program
Lends key support in managing Sunnova's Insurance program, including:
oCoordinates yearly policy renewal and prepares monthly firmwide asset reporting to Insurance Broker
oClosely liaise with Insurance broker on policy related issues such as State employee requirements, premium discrepancies, auto claims, etc.
oManages and coordinates yearly Worker's Comp and Business auto-audit to ensure all information requirements are accurate and on time
·Bank Relationship Management
oManages daily multiple bank relationships to ensure smooth processing
oEvaluates and selects banks and services to meet firmwide requirements
oSystem Administrator for multiple banking portals
·Corporate Card
oManages Corporate Credit Card Program, ensuring timely issuance of cards for employees (roughly 900 active cards), providing temporary limits and managing fraud issues
oEnsures timely funding of program
Minimum Requirements
·2+ years of related work experience
·BA or BBA in Accounting, Finance or Economics
·Advanced Excel skills such as lookups and pivots
·Experience with Electronic Banking Portals
Preferred Qualifications
·Prior experience with bank account documentation and electronic banking portals
