JOB SUMMARY: The Treasury Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting in the operation of the ALM Model and for the measurement, monitoring, and documentation of the Company’s interest rate risk (IRR). The position will have additional responsibilities related to liquidity risk and other functions within the FP&A team. The Treasury Analyst assists in developing and maintaining necessary procedures and documentation to create a repeatable and well-controlled IRR process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primarily responsible for the operation of the ALM model for Net Interest Income (NII) simulation and economic value of equity (EVE) sensitivities including the preparation of data files and model assumptions
- Assist in ALM model stress testing, back testing and forecasting
- Monitor and report the bank’s daily liquidity and cash position
- Create and prepare ALCO reports on a monthly basis
- Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment
- Ensure the Company’s compliance with US GAAP and Regulatory guidance
- Follow and recognize economic, regulatory, and other trends to determine potential impacts on IRR of the Company
- Maintain a strong internal control environment in accordance with SOX 404
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (advanced degree or designation preferred)
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of ALM experience
- Recent experience running Empyrean or QRM for NII and EVE purposes.
- Experience with Bank forecasting and financial analysis
- Experience with liquidity and cash monitoring
- Creative problem solver with the ability to develop new processes and communicate processes with stakeholders
- Flexible and willing to adapt to change and learn quickly
- Proven ability to communicate with executive management
- Professional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to provide detailed information and courteous responses to teammates, vendors, auditors, and regulators
- Sit or stand at a desk

- Utilize a computer monitor with visual acuity
- Operate technology and other office machinery such as printers, fax machines, scanners, etc.
