Treasury and Financial Reporting Manager - First Century Bank
First Century Bank is looking for a full time Treasury and Financial Reporting Manager to join a growing team from our Alpharetta, Georgia location. First Century Bank has distinguished itself by providing specialized financial services through technology channels for our clients. The Treasury and Financial Reporting Manager role will primarily assist the CFO with treasury operations, investment accounting and financial reporting functions of the Bank. This role is fast-paced and will have a direct impact on the Bank's ability to make key business decisions and requires an individual to be proactive and solution-oriented. This person will be a strong individual contributor who demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and accountability, and as leader develops any applicable team members to demonstrate the same.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure month end closing responsibilities are completed including subordinated debt journal entries, allowance calculation, purchase accounting entries, projection file, and designated account reconciliations.
- Coordinate with the CFO regarding Asset/Liability function and investment portfolio accounting. Specifically, this individual would prepare and review the monthly Board reporting package, the Treasury Services monthly reporting, the CECL and Allowance for Loan Loss reserve analysis calculation etc.
- Prepare periodic regulatory reports for senior management and/or the Board. Regular reports include review of the call report, other regulatory reporting, board reports.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and other required reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IRS (Internal Revenue Service) regulations.
- Understand and document reporting needs, collaborate on operational issues, develop solutions and enhance internal controls consistent with policies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and streamline processes.
- Perform technical accounting research, if required.
- Assist in preparing for audits and reviews by external auditors.
- Coach, mentor and train applicable accounting team members.
- Assist the CFO in various ad-hoc and/or special projects and perform duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree plus 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting. Accounting & Finance experience in financial institutions is a plus. A CPA is required. Qualified candidates will have strong analytical skills, problem solving and planning skills, with an ability to process substantial amounts of data. Individuals must be able to demonstrate an ability to stay current and comply with banking regulations and have a solid understanding of GAAP. An individual must demonstrate strong business acumen with an understanding of P&L, EBITDA and working capital. To be successful at First Century Bank, this individual would be resourceful, and action-oriented, possessing a strong sense of urgency and who knows how to overcome obstacles to get things done. Due to requirements to collaborate and plan with individuals inside and outside the organization, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
