Treasury Accountant/Analyst

Our client in NYC is in need of a Treasury Accountant to join their team! Due to the growth of the business, they are looking to have someone on board with their team immediately. This person will be responsible for performing and coordinating accounting duties within their organization. The Treasury Analyst/Accountant’s responsibilities include performing the main banking operations of the company - creating weekly payment batch processing, daily bank reconciliations, managing banking relationships, and cashflow management as well as performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Treasury Analyst/Accountant Responsibilities:

Treasury role

• Processing weekly payment batches and managing all payments in the online banking systems. Also responding to any ad-hoc payment requests throughout the week
• Performing daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Execute Forex hedge program.
• Monitor cash balance and manage cashflow forecast with Controller.
• Managing banking relationships as the company contact.

Accountant role

• Working closely with Controller for monthly consolidations, quarterly reporting package and annual audit of the group level.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Perform some of month end closing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 2+ years of accounting and financial experience.
• Strong knowledge of an on-line banking system would be plus but not required.
• Good understanding of GAAP.
• Knowledge and experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.
