Responsibilities:Are you a dynamic treasury leader looking to make a significant impact at a strategic level? Our company is seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President, Treasurer to lead our global treasury operations, drive securitization initiatives, and optimize our financial strategies for growth.
This high-visibility role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer is pivotal in shaping the financial future of our organization, ensuring robust capital and risk management, and partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive innovation and value creation. This position will be based in South Carolina.
What you will do:
Strategic Leadership:
- Oversee capital markets, treasury operations, interest rate and FX risk management, and global cash management
- Build and scale a term securitization program while expanding our ABL and warehouse financing options
- Build and manage an interest and Fx risk management program, including developing strategies to reduce interest rate and Fx risks, minimize counterparty risk, and ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards
- Develop strategies to optimize the company’s capital structure, reduce risk, and enhance liquidity
Team and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Expand and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, lenders, noteholders, trustees, back up servicer, credit rating agencies, and other external treasury providers
- Understand and negotiate legal agreements related to structured finance transactions, term loans, derivatives, and cash management
- Manage and develop the treasury team, providing training and career development opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams including technology, legal, compliance, accounting, FP&A, internal audit, credit and operations on various initiatives, reporting, and to expand balance sheet management with a goal of reducing risk, lowering weighed average cost of capital, and expand liquidity options
- Manage the drafting and appropriate distribution of presentations and reporting for treasury for ALCO, investors, board meetings, management, and other counterparties
Capital Markets and Financial Risk Management:
- Manage and oversee all phases of capital markets transaction execution, reporting, and facility management
- Analyze and provide recommendations for financing options for the company’s products including, but not limited to, securitizations, ABLs, warehouse facilities, forward flow, and term debt
- Create and expand collateral performance analytics along with transaction level forecasting
- Coordinate and execute approved interest rate and Fx hedging strategies
- Manage derivatives counterparty relationships including any required reporting and collateral management
Liquidity & Treasury Management
- Manage and drive all aspects of liquidity management and investing idle cash.
- Optimize funding across credit facilities, products, capital structure, and markets.
- Improve cash management processes to better record, forecast and report on cash activities.
- Direct the Company’s foreign exchange management activities, including any applicable hedging activities of foreign currency exposure.
- Maintain the Treasury Management System and maintain and enhance the formal controls and procedures regarding cash management.
What you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university; MBA preferred
- CFA Charter or progression towards a CFA Charter is a plus
- CTP designation is a plus
- 7+ years of progressive treasury management experience in a financial services company and / or bank.
- Knowledge and experience executing structured finance and/or asset-backed securities (ABS) transactions.
- Detailed understanding of capital markets, cash management, and interest rate risk management.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial information in a succent manner.
- Excellent time and project management skills, able to set priorities for self and team while managing multiple high priority projects.
- Ability to oversee and direct a team including development and performance management.
- Methodical thinker with ability to provide succinct and timely recommendations.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Suite, SQL, and Tableau or similar data management tools.
- Deep understanding of secured and unsecured consumer lending and credit underwriting.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines
