Traveling Construction Superintendent

One of the area's most reputable Construction firms is seeking a Superintendent to join their growing team. This is an award-winning, financially strong company with a long history of excellence in construction.

The Superintendent MUST have heavy civil construction, commercial, industrial, residential, and retail project experience. The Superintendent leads the team, focusing on the customer, utilizing open communication, setting clear direction, and establishing high expectations.

This position requires knowledge of civil, industrial, commercial, residential, and retail projects. The Superintendent requires dedication and a strong sense of accountability, with the ability to align with the executive team to optimize growth potential and contribute to the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
• Directs all field personnel to complete the project on schedule.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of field personnel and their crews.
• Attending meetings on and off-site as directed.
• The ideal candidate will have heavy civil, commercial, industrial, and residential experience.
• Project types could include earthwork, underground utilities, grading, and excavation.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required. Experience working with Primavera, AutoCAD, etc., is an added plus.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS software/hardware, its use, and capabilities for equipment control is desired.
• Hands-on experience and working knowledge of heavy machinery and its production capabilities are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum (5) years project management experience.
• Minimum (3) years Jobsite experience.
• Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
• Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.
