We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Traveling Superintendent to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity to spearhead and oversee construction projects across the globe. As a Permanent Traveling Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader, responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers a chance to travel extensively, work on unique and challenging projects, and play a pivotal role in our company's success.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all on-site construction activities, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
2. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
3. Develop and implement project work plans and schedules, identify resources needed, and coordinate with project staff to ensure smooth project progress.
4. Oversee and manage field personnel, ensuring all team members adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, architects, subcontractors, and team members to maintain relationships and ensure project success.
6. Conduct quality control inspections to identify any potential issues or defects and take corrective action as necessary.
7. Manage project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, contract payment, and finalizing all project-related documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
2. Strong experience in field supervision, with a keen eye for detail and quality control.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team in a high-stakes construction environment.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges.
5. Proficiency in reading and understanding construction blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
7. Willingness and ability to travel extensively, often for extended periods, to various project sites around the world.
8. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. OSHA 30-hour safety course certificate is a plus.
