Position OverviewThe Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that all aspects of the project run smoothly, safely, and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and workers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers regarding project progress and issues
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in general construction
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and safety standards
- Experience with commercial and healthcare construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of scheduling software and project management tools
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
