We are seeking a dynamic and experienced traveling Superintendent for Commercial Construction projects in PA, VA, and MD. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects from the ground up, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all construction activities, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
2. Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions, including scheduling, material control, and day-to-day direction of field personnel.
3. Coordinate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure the project meets the highest quality standards.
4. Implement effective communication strategy and conflict resolution process to ensure smooth progress of the project.
5. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
6. Document and report on project status, potential changes, or issues that may affect the project timeline or budget.
7. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and building codes.
8. Address and rectify any problems, complaints, or construction errors in a professional manner.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and staff.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in the commercial construction industry.
2. Proven track record of successfully completing a diverse range of commercial construction projects from the ground up through finishes.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety protocols.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
5. Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
6. Ability to read and understand complex architectural and engineering drawings.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
10. Must be willing to travel as required.
