Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Traveling Superintendent, your day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all phases of the construction process from inception to completion, including site preparation, foundation, framing, interior and exterior finishes, and final inspections.
2. Coordinating and supervising the work of all construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors on site.
3. Ensuring that all construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
4. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality.
5. Resolving any issues or problems that may arise during construction.
6. Developing and maintaining project schedules, and ensuring that all deadlines are met.
7. Communicating regularly with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
8. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
9. Managing project budgets and controlling project costs.
10. Documenting all construction activities and maintaining detailed records of project progress.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Traveling Superintendent position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on multi-family, Interiors, or Remediation projects.
2. Proven track record of successfully managing and completing construction projects from start to finish.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
4. Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve construction issues quickly and effectively.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
8. Willingness to travel extensively and spend extended periods of time on project sites.
9. Proficiency in construction software and technology.
10. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
11. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
