We are on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Permanent Traveling Superintendent to join our construction team. As a key player in our organization, you will be at the helm of overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities for our healthcare-related projects. This exciting role will take you on a journey across various locations, providing you with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and collaborate with different teams. If you are an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry, and has a passion for healthcare infrastructure, this job is for you.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Traveling Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, while also ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards.
3. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, fostering a cooperative environment to ensure project success.
4. Supervising all on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and workforce management.
5. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
6. Implementing and using Procore for project management, tracking, and reporting.
7. Traveling to various project sites as required, adapting to different work environments and cultures.
8. Leading the planning and implementation of project, defining project tasks and resource requirements.
9. Constantly monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to all stakeholders, managing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
10. Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare or medical facility construction.
2. Proficiency in using Procore or similar construction management software.
3. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), negotiations, schedules, and budgeting.
4. Excellent understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
5. Exceptional leadership and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Ability to travel as required for project needs.
7. Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
8. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
9. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a team player attitude.
10. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
