Requirements
· Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture desired
· A minimum of 5 years experience in implementing safety and health programs during the last 8 years
· Recent experience overseeing the safety program for large scale earthwork projects that includes mining/tunneling
· Valid EM385, OSHA30 and other Safety Certifications
· Five years Construction experience as SSHO for USACE desired
· Ten years overall construction experience desired
· Must be able to pass a Federal background check and all pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Safety Program is implemented and effective
- Develop and update Site Specific Safety Program policies and procedures
- Maintain and report accurate records regarding the safety program
- Conduct safety and team training
- Purchase and distribute safety equipment and supplies
- Assist in organizing and implementing teams
- Provide onsite project safety support (i.e., training, inspections, supplies, compliance review, etc.
- Maintain appropriate certifications and awareness of developing technology
- Provide complete Injury Management from initial doctor visit to reporting and employee follow-up
- Ensuring required documentation is complete, current and properly filed
- Ensuring proactive customer service and mitigation of complaints
- Enforcing contract safety standards
- Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions;
- Administer client-specific safety programs.
