The Traveling Project Manager – Data Center Construction will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of data center construction projects from start to finish. This role requires extensive travel to project sites, managing cross-functional teams, ensuring the project adheres to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large-scale construction projects, with a focus on data centers or similar high-tech facilities.

• Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to various construction sites across the country or internationally (depending on project locations) is required. Travel will involve extended stays at project sites.

Traveling Project Manager Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE 7-15 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with not less than 3 years specializing in data center construction or similar complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• New Construction / large scale Data Center projects with confidence in leading teams and projects from start to finish ($50m+)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of data center construction processes, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, power and cooling requirements, fire suppression, and security systems.

Traveling Project Manager Skills:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of development simultaneously.
• Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel frequently and work on-site at multiple locations, with occasional extended stays required.
