About the Job
Schedule: 25hrs/week Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Will be traveling to different facilities (Tamarac, Mercy, Jupiter, Ft Lauderdale)
Job Description:
Acknowledged Job Description for: Medical Assistants/Scribes
• Adhere to office protocols and clinic hours.
• Patient intake.
• Collect urine samples, set up urines properly, complete lab form, and ensure pick up.
• Obtain complete procedure consents.
• Assist with procedures.
• Prepare prescriptions during clinic: MRI, referrals, PT, etc.
• Assist with setting up electronic prescriptions and ensure they are properly sent.
• Assist physician with E-scribing non-controlled medications as requested.
• Properly document notes and procedures within 24 hours of visit.
• Complete Charge slips.
• Dispense DME (durable medical equipment) and collect acknowledgement forms from patients.
• Follow up with medical providers regarding pending documentation.
• Assist provider in completing any patient forms that are necessary: DWC, etc.
• Complete treatment plan and procedure details on patient log.
• Educate/Register MMJ patients.
• Maintain clean procedure room and patient examination rooms.
• Communicate with Insurance and Legal Departments regarding add on procedures.
• Scan and upload patient documentation: prescriptions, medical records, DME forms, etc.
• Review messages/tasks daily and resolve or delegate as necessary.
• Weekly prep for the upcoming clinics.
• Educate patients on recommended procedures or medications.
