Job Description
We are seeking a front end medical assistant who thrives in a fast-paced oncology center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for checking patients in, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and recording patient information. We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills who fits well with our culture. Prior experience in healthcare is preferred.
Responsibilities- Check patients in upon arrival
- Answer and manage phone calls
- Schedule patient appointments
- Record and update patient information
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with manual blood pressure readings
- Handle front desk operations
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Perform insurance authorization and data entry tasks
- Maintain patient medical records
- Ensure guest experience is positive
- 1 year of experience in healthcare customer service
- Proficiency in medical assisting
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with patient care
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with manual blood pressure readings
- Proficiency in data entry
- Knowledge of insurance authorization processes
- Ability to manage front desk operations
- Experience with EMR systems
- Experience in an oncology setting
- Prior receptionist or front desk experience in healthcare
- Ability to handle scheduling and appointment management
- Long-term career goals within the healthcare sector
This position is based in an outpatient cancer facility, operating Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.This candidate will float between local offices. We offer a compassionate work environment with opportunities for growth and development. Additional benefits include eligibility for benefits three months after conversion and 10 paid holidays per year. We also assist with additional certification and training costs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00
Additional benefits include eligibility for benefits three months after conversion and 10 paid holidays per year.
