About the Job
As a Traveling Superintendent, you’ll oversee ground-up commercial construction projects across various sectors—automotive, healthcare, industrial, office, retail, and senior living—managing projects valued up to $20 million. This role involves extensive travel to multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight
- Manage all on-site activities throughout each project’s lifecycle.
- Scheduling & Budget Compliance
- Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Subcontractor Coordination
- Oversee subcontractors and enforce safety protocols.
- Scheduling
- Develop and update project schedules to avoid delays.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct inspections and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Budget Assistance
- Support budget management and forecasting.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison
- Serve as the primary on-site contact.
- Documentation
- Maintain project records and provide regular progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Experience
- 3–10 years as a Superintendent in ground-up commercial construction.
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- Certifications
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Travel
- Must be willing to travel frequently.
- Leadership
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
