Connected Health Care is thrilled to partner with a premier healthcare facility in Cedar Rapids, IA, to find a dedicated X-Ray Tech for a travel position. This is an excellent opportunity for radiologic technologists seeking a dynamic and rewarding career with evening shift availability.
Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Strong experience/proficiency in OR setting.
- Position patients and equipment to capture the correct images.
- Operate X-ray equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images.
- Review and analyze images to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Current and valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in the state of Iowa.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Tech.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic techniques, safety protocols, and imaging equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
