Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: North Chicago, IL 60064

Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts) / Overtime is unlikely but may be required for anything over 40 hours

Duration: 1+ Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract)

Start Date: March 2025

Qualification

Certification: ARRT or ARDMS, BLS

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound examinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations, including thyroid, abdomen, pelvis, transvaginal, breast, and Doppler imaging of carotid arteries and extremities.
• Process and upload imaging for interpretation using Oracle/Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PACS systems.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain ultrasound imaging equipment and report any malfunctions to the Ultrasound Supervisor.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of patient information and compliance with FHCC safety and documentation protocols.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and equipment.
• Recognize emergency situations, respond promptly, and take appropriate medical assistance measures.
