Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in endoscopic procedures used to diagnose and treat various conditions of the gastrointestinal system. The Endo Tech will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate endoscopic procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and medical staff during endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and other diagnostic or therapeutic endoscopies.
• Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment, ensuring all instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and in proper working order.
• Set up the procedure room with appropriate equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation before, during, and after procedures, ensuring proper sterile techniques are followed.
• Provide support in monitoring patients’ vital signs during procedures and assist with sedation as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient information, medical history, and any complications.
• Ensure that all medical equipment, such as endoscopes, is properly cleaned and disinfected according to infection control protocols.
• Provide assistance in preparing and administering necessary medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Assist with patient recovery and provide aftercare instructions, ensuring that patients understand post-procedure care and follow-up requirements.
• Participate in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the endoscopy suite and other medical areas.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in endoscopic technology and procedures through continuing education and professional development.
